OMG!!! Totally loved reading this book. Gemma reminds me of a young version of Lady Gaga for some reason. Maybe it's cause of her costumes or something idk. I love how there's a love triangle or should I say square cause of Tyler Chase ( he's so cute :) ) I kept going back and forth between these boys. I wanted her to be with Lucas ,he's a really good guy and all but after what the bitch Madison did to her and he didn't take her side I was all ...forget you Lucas. I swear I wanted to punch Madison in the face, shes evil dont let her looks fool you. Then there's sweet adorable all around good guy Damian. I Love him. Not to mention Tyler Chase who just won't give up haha. I'm excited that there is a sequel to this book since I really enjoyed reading this one. I want to find out what happens next during the summer and who she ends up with. So I will be purchasing the next one. Yay!!Product details

Oh My Freaking God. This book was amazing. So okay well I didn't know about this book but my best friend recommended it for me (we're book worms ). It reads awesome. It reminds me of like a remake of a Hannah Montana book only better with more drama, quality, and teenage life period. This books is wonderful. I can't even put it into words. I am a teen so I loved this book. So if you are a teen GET THIS BOOK NOW.
I liked the characters in this book. I thought that it was kind of stereotypical that everyone was rich with all designer clothes and that is not at all how high school is. In my experience, people just wear whatever and don't really care. But I liked the romance between Tyler Chase and Gemma better than Lucas because he had a girlfriend and that's wrong, it was just lust so move on. That's a really bad friend, in reality if i were Madison i would've dumped Gemma as a friend. What kind of friend does that to another?? Like, what a horrible person!!!
Love this story. Gotta admit only tried it because I love authors I haven't heard,of thought this is going to be stupid but hey it's free. I was so wrong. Awesome story. Awesome author. Fun sweet story highly recommend. Gotta see part two. Enjoyed completely
Hidden Gem was a great book! Queen Bee is an international popstar in Europe, Asia, and Australia, So when she goes back to states to begins high school as junior, she's Gemma Hunter. Very few people know who her true identity is. On the first day of school she meets Madison who's beautiful and popular and they hit it off right away. She soon becomes friends with all of Madison's friends and they really click. Gemma also begins crushing on Lucas, her supercute next door neighbor, also known as Madison's boyfriend. When Lucas starts to show interest back, Madison can't help but feel threatened. Problems begin to arise between Madison and Gemma and it gets tense. Aside from that, Queen Bee is gaining popularity in the states because American Superstar Hottie Tyler Chase starts seriously crushing on her and a majority of teen girls across the nation are heart broken! So now, everyone is wondering who Queen Bee really is and why she's hiding her identity, including Gemma's friends. Through all of this Gemmma needs to learn how to bring Queen Bee's fiery confident personality into Gemma's shy personality and not lose sight of Gemma and who she was before her fame!
I think that a lot of her friends needed to stick up for her. Especially against Madison! They all just let her be bullied by Madison and it kind of pissed me off. Lucas didn't do much of anything either! It was kind of frustrating! Sometimes I just wanted Gemma to reveal her true identity and put Madison in her place!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! 5 stars! It's definitley a good book and it's only 99 cents! So what the heck right? Buy it!
I love this series. Reading about Gemma and her double life is fascinating. A pop star trying to fit into high school makes for a fun read.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, given the quality of other free books, and I would love to read the rest, too.
So let me start off by saying that I love the blog posts and articles in between. Kind of gets a Gossip Girl vibe going. I liked the plot and most of the characters were easy to recognise in terms of standard teen movies. (In South Africa, our whole schooling system is different, so I couldn't really relate to any of the characters' daily life, though.)
Not a bad read for a day on the beach or a rainy weekend at home.
However, there are a few reasons it only got 3 stars from me
- It gets a bit lengthy and drawn-out at times. I didn't always feel like I just HAVE to read the next chapter.
- I understand that Queen Bee is super famous and that wearing branded clothing is a "requirement" of sorts, but all the brand name dropping gets a bit much after a while.
- I'm not a fan of the fake IDs and getting drunk at that age. Maybe if Gemma was in college and 19 y/o or something, it would've been better.
- As a 16 year old, Gemma's "fear" of Madison is quite stupid, to be very honest.
- Chase's intense crush on Bee becomes very annoying towards the end.
I'll buy #2, though, to see if they all grow up a bit. I probably won't read the book(s) again, though (like I usually do).
This was a cute novel. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it since the plot reminds me of Hannah Montana, but it actually wasn't all the similar. Since Hannah only wears a stupid wig and her face is the same ( how would ppl seriously not see that she's Miley?) anyways in this Gemma is kinda decked out like lady gaga just less
Freakishly when she is queen Bee so u can't tell what she actually looks like. I loved this story and it didn't lead to where I thought it might. There are three different love interests in this which normally would be way to many, but it worked for this story and since she only ever happens to end up with one of them she doesn't ever look like a slut bc, well she's not. Can't wait to read the other books! )
